Day 1: Philadelphia
Yesterday we played at The Pentajawn. It was an intimate acoustic show on a sweet Wednesday night. Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who played. I feel blessed to be from a city with many talented people and I am more thankful to know some of them I can call friends. Here are some photos by Kyle Ryan.
Olivia Bullock came through last minute and graced us with hot riffs. She has no bandcamp yet, but I am keeping an eye when the record drops.
Macey the house boss and Dan the Manager dad talking about spinners and ways to rule the world. Thank you so much Macey for respecting the family and supporting day one of tour.
Elaine Rasnake is a very talented musician. I look forward to asking her to record a song for a diff album one day. Sometimes when I have bad days I listen to DEALS to cheer me up. The vibes are real. You should check the vibes too. https://elainerasnake.bandcamp.com/album/deals
Thank you Branden Bauer for literally kicking all the ass in your rock jams. We met two years ago at The Aquarium and I am glad we kept in touch. Your music reminds me of better days and lyrics are introspective. Check out the music at https://brandenbauer.bandcamp.com/
Who's this guy? It's Izzy Heltai. I am gonna be spending the next week and some change with this dude. We are gonna be making moves across the country. I am stoked to see people enjoy your tunes and grow with ya bro. Let's keep it goin, support my tourmate at https://izzyheltai.bandcamp.com/
Ellen Siberian-Tiger. A powerful musician from State College who has moved here in Philly. Ellen is low key baller as hell with her songs. I hope to write a tune well enough to collaborate. Keep shreding the shred and grinding those teeth (inside lyric reference ) you blessed everyone's ears last night. Get the tunes here https://ellensiberiantiger.bandcamp.com/
Last night for me was cathartic. I got very emotional, but it was a release. Given the intimate setting I wanted to take the time to tell the stories behind the music I write and I don't get to do that too often in a venue setting. The new material I am releasing is more personal, and I felt validated that others listened to me. I feel blessed to know that everyone came and to consider all of you not just music colleagues, but friends. Thanks for listening. Oh and if this is your first time on the site you can hear me here http://adaywithoutlove.bandcamp.com/
Stay tuned tomorrow for the next blog, tonight we we are playing at Cattivo in Pittsburgh with Tim Vitullo and Strange Monsters. Show starts at 9 doors at 8.
